LBC Covid-19 guidelines v04
These guidelines are for use by members to reduce the risks arising from Covid-19 to an acceptable level.

A: Booking system for play during Covid-19 restrictions.
- Players will book to play by 5pm on the day (and up to a month ahead).
- Players will book by emailing lbc@gkirk.com.
- For each week of play there will be a named Covid-19 Officer.
Normally this will be GK.
If ANOther replaces GK then lbc@gkirk.com will be redirected to ANO's email address.
- Players who book will pay the normal tariff; players who do not book will pay 50% more.
- The number of Groups for play will depend on how many people book.
The number of Groups will be as in para7 below.
- If more than 18 people book, the first 18 to book will be accepted.
If more than 18 book, those not accepted will be regarded as having booked first in the following week's booking.
- People will be allocated to a Group at random as follows.
The booked players will be listed in random order.

- Any player who wishes to play after booking has closed will be allocated as above as though they were on the end of the list.
- The list will be printed by the Covid-19 Officer and made available to the players.
Changes during the evening will be written on the print.
- 10 At the end of the evening, if the print has been amended, it will be photographed by the Covid-19 Officer and emailed to GK.
GK will keep a copy of every weekly print.
B: Rules of play
- Play will be for 2 hours, 7pm to 9pm.
- During play, if a Group has only three members, they will play singles one end and doubles the other.
Who plays as single will be decided by the players.
- Allocation of members to play in a game will be similar to the normal scheme using pegs, except that there need be no physical pegs - just imagine them with the usual system for each Group.
- Each group will have its own shuttles for use during the entire session. These should be wiped regularly.
- There should be no physical contact between players (eg: shaking hands).
C: Payment and accounting system
- Each active member or visitor will have a personal LBC account.
- Each person's account will be charged for each week's play.
Cash will not be accepted.
- Payment will be due for all bookings made.
Cancellations after 5pm on the day of play are not permitted.
- It is the responsibility of members to maintain their account in credit by making a bank transfer to

- A statement of account or a statement balance is available by emailing the Treasurer (gk@gkirk.com).
- During this time, there will be a single tariff of £4pw for bookings.
Note: unbooked play will cost £6pw.
D: General guidelines
- Avoid touching nets and other equipment in the gym and waiting area.
If you touch them, sanitise your hands.
Do not use the changing rooms.
- In the waiting area, each member should stack their possessions separate from those of others.
- Players waiting to play should always keep 2 metres apart as much as possible.
There shall be no spectators.
- Everyone should bring their own sanitiser and wipes.
- If a member attends a club meeting and develops the virus within 4 days, they should inform the club officers immediately by email and phone.

The officers will take action following HMG guidance; this will probably be to advise all members who attended the same meeting to self-isolate.
- If you have symptoms of the virus, or have had contact with someone who has the virus, or have been contacted by Track and Trace, please don't come to a badminton session until you are sure you aren't infected.
- At each meeting, there will be a Covid-19 Officer.
This will be the Secretary or the Chairman (in that order), depending on who is there.
The role of the Covid-19 Officer is to ensure that these guidelines are followed.
- If any problems arise from these guidlines or any other rules arising from Covid-19, the Secretary should be informed.
The Secretary will manage such problems via a Covid-19 Problems Log.
- The members contact details will be printed on their account statement.
Members shall advise the Club Secretary of any change in those details.
